My Blessed Baby Girl

Miss Cynthia Anne is a sweet heart that is so wonderful. I love her with all of my heart. She smiles and coos and puts her fingers around mine. I am so blessed.
My mom Nana Cindi, is having hip replacement surgery, and Cynthia and I are going to go help her as she recovers.
This is a short post, but I hope it makes you smile:)

Okay, so I have been told that I must update my blog, so here we go. Lets start way back in January was my first appointment, but I had to reschedule it because of a snow storm. I must say that in Michigan, they don't shut down because of a little snow. In March 2011, I quit my job due to feet soreness, and then spent a week in Michigan with my parents. Mom and Bev threw me a baby shower there was a huge turn out, we ran out of seating. I packed a lot of my gifts in my suitcase, but left the heavy stuff there.
In June mom rode the bus down here and helped with my next shower, Christy, Holly and Melanie did a great job getting everything together, I went to the hospital the day before with high blood pressure, and dehydration, and was ordered on bed rest for the weekend so...my sisters had to do a lot. I ended up with six ultra sounds because they were worried about the ventricles in the baby's brain, I still was surprised with the sex. I did have one more baby shower given by Hugh's co workers, the day was interesting, the hospital where we held the shower had no electricity. It got a little hot but it was still fun. My feet swelled up so that only flip flops would fit, even they left marks on my feet. I was hoping to have the baby on my birthday, but alas no go. I ended up being induced on the evening of July 10 mom spent the night in the hospital with me, the induction did not work the next day I was only dilated to 1 and not progressing, with my blood pressure going up...so I decided to do the C-section, at 3:01pm on July 11, 2011 I gave birth to a baby girl, Mom was the one who told me and she was so excited she shrieked its a girl and cried. I ended up in the hospital for five days due to my un-regulated blood pressure. Thankfully my mom came for a month, and I was very thankful that she was able to spend so much time with Cynthia Anne and me. I went home with mom and dad for two weeks after and flew home, the flight was OK but I was delayed for two hours so poor baby Cynthia woke up during landing, but didn't really cry after I started to feed her. Cynthia will be three months old tomorrow growing up so fast how time dose fly.

My First Appointment

Yesterday Hugh and I went to the Highland Center for Women, we got there early, they were really crowded. I had an ultrs sound, it was so neat to see the little person inside, I was told that he/she is only 4cm. My due date is July 14, 2011. I also had an exam from the doctor. fun fun...
I am so excited that I will be able to quit my job at some time in the future.
I am so excited that my mom will be here, plans are being made for baby showers. I am getting pressure to find out the sex of the baby, but I am not going to. Any way there isn't much else to say, my next appointment is Feb. 21 so I will update after that. Love and Peace to all who read.

Snow Day Janurary 10, 2011

SNOW SNOW everywhere...Oh the South. In Michigan the doctors office doesn't close because of snow. I waited for a whole month and a half for my first appointment I was going to get to see my baby today, now rescheduling is going to be interesting. Don't get me wrong Melanie and I had a great time forcing the snow into a snow man. It has been a fun day, but not looking forward to driving Hugh to work.
Let me just say that maternity pants are dumb, they don't stay up.

Thanksgiving Day 2010

What a blessing, Ingles had pre-coked turkeys. I was so happy that my parents had volunteered to prepare and cook the turkey I slept till 7 thinking that it would be all done and in the oven, however I was greeted with the fact that the turkey that had been thawing in the fridge, for four days was still too frozen to cook. I had a moment of pure panic...then I remembered all the commercials that 98.9 had been playing and called Ingles, they had pre-cooked turkeys that you heat and serve, so Hugh and I went and picked it up and then we got home and Du-dads were well on the way Praise the Lord for cool parents I love mom and dad. boy pregnancy hormones are the worst I could hardly stop crying. After breakfast we got everything around and the lunch was right on time, everyone said the turkey was good. after cleaning up we sat and fellow-shipped for a while while Hugh and josh took the kids to the park. when they got back we had desert. and I(I mead Dad) got the other turkey in the oven it should be done by 9 and then we will have very good "leftovers" for the next couple of days.
We are now watching 'White Christmas' to get us in the Christmas mood there is still a load of dishes to do but that can can wait...
We are going out BLACK friday shopping in the morning yikes.

So far So Good

Praise the Lord for no morning sickness, I know it can happen the whole first trimester but so far I only get heart burn, I always have had heartburn, but now it is more regular. I have made the switch to tums from Maalox yuck I can't wait to switch back. My pants have begun to get tighter and my husband says that my chest is bigger but I can't really tell.
I am so thankful that my sisters are helping me with furnishing the nursery. I am borrowing Christy's crib and Holly's bassinet, that will help us a lot.
Today my kitchen is getting redone, my mother in-law decided that because she did it for Deborah and Bill (Hugh's sister and brother-in-law) that it was our turn, stainless steel is going to be nice, although I am supposed to feed people tonight and the gas stove is not getting hooked up until after 6:30. I am so excited about coking on the new stove though especially for Thanksgiving.

Tums and such

So today we went grocery shopping for the week of Thanksgiving, yikes two full hours of walking I already get tired out fast. I usually use Maalox for heartburn but I have switched to tums for that is what the pregnancy book says. I got the 750 count. yikes if the early month is an indication i will need every single one.
I already feel some abdominal discomfort nothing serious but it is nice to know something is happening. There is a pair of work pants that I have that slims the tummy and I already can't wear them.
Melanie and Holly brought me little onesies pink and blue cute little pants for both and a teething ring.
I ate at Fatz tonight I enjoyed it but paid for it later.
I am not so sure I am ready for motherhood...babysitting two grown girls 6 and 11 and I want to pull my hair out and theirs if that would help.
